Meet Our Provider

Dr. Henry Burkholder IV, a board certified General Pediatrician, Pediatric Cardiologist and Complex Case Specialist for all ages, received his medical degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2007. He completed his pediatric residency and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center, where he also served as Chief Pediatric Cardiology Fellow. For the last three years, he has helped develop and implement mobile cardiac screening programs for adolescents and adults.

 

Dr. Burkholder is a Houstonia Top Doc and was recently named a Texas Monthly Super Doc. He is the Medical Director for the Alvin Community College Pediatric Echocardiogram Program where the country’s top pediatric echocardiogram technicians are being trained daily. Dr. Burkholder was born and raised in Houston and graduated college from University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He is married with two children. Some of his common areas of clinical interest are preventative medical screening, fatigue, autonomic dysfunction, exercise physiology, chest pain, fainting and congenital heart disease. Dr. Burkholder enjoys working with families to help ensure that their hearts stay healthy.
